Dec 10 2024

The Keys Academy Trust is delighted to announce the outcomes of the recent Ofsted inspection at Polehampton Church of England Junior School, held on 5 and 6 November 2024. The school achieved a "Good" rating across all four key areas: Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, and Leadership and Management.

The report highlighted the warm, friendly, and values-driven ethos of the school, where pupils thrive academically and personally. Inspectors commended the school’s ambition for every pupil to achieve their best, as well as the positive learning environment fostered by staff and supported by strong leadership.

Pupils at Polehampton are described as "proud and happy" members of a close-knit school community where they are encouraged to develop academically, socially, and emotionally. The inspection recognised the school’s broad and ambitious curriculum, its prioritisation of reading, and the effective teaching strategies employed by staff to support pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.

The report also highlighted the school's strong focus on character development, diversity, and respect, with pupils actively engaging in leadership roles and contributing to their community. Celebration assemblies and house competitions were noted as fostering a sense of pride and achievement among pupils.

While the report outlined areas for further refinement, the leadership team at Polehampton is already working diligently to address these and build on their success.

Congratulations to the entire Polehampton community for this well-deserved recognition. The Keys Academy Trust is proud to support the school in its journey of continuous improvement and excellence.
