  • Polehampton CE Junior School Celebrates Successful Ofsted Inspection

    The Keys Academy Trust is delighted to announce the outcomes of the recent Ofsted inspection at Polehampton Church of England Junior School, held on 5 and 6 November 2024. The school achieved a "Good" rating across all four key areas: Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, and Leadership and Management.   • Inclusion Innovation Funding Secured

    We are thrilled to announce that The Keys Academy Trust has secured a £25,000 grant from Wokingham Borough Council’s Inclusion Innovation Fund (IIF). This funding will enable the creation of dedicated spaces in seven of our schools, tailored to support pupils with SEMH or SEND needs. This initiative is a significant step forward in promoting inclusivity and mental wellbeing within our school community. The Trust’s project aligns with the IIF’s theme, which focuses on developing inclusive education provisions to support pupils experiencing emotional or social challenges that may affect their ability to thrive in a traditional classroom setting.

  • The Keys Cross Country Competitions

    Sonning CE Primary School recently hosted the third of its termly cross country events, open to all schools in The Keys Academy Trust. Sonning Primary cross country event organiser Mr Luis and PE Lead Miss Moore said: “We could not be prouder of all pupils who took part in the recent cross-country event. The children’s sporting values were outstanding; encouraging one another, celebrating the success of their own schools and others, as well as displaying incredible determination in their races.” The pupils described the event as “the most fun ever” and “tiring, but worth it”! Each team well and truly battled it out in each of their races and their perseverance paid off, with Sonning CE Primary coming 1st place in a number of races and bringing home the overall points trophy.

  • Digital Parenting Support for Families

    In a powerful initiative to strengthen digital safety awareness, The Keys Academy Trust recently hosted Parenting in the Digital World online workshops for all schools within the Trust. These successful events, developed in collaboration with The Stay Safe Initiative, provided parents and carers with crucial tools and knowledge to guide their children through today’s increasingly digital landscape. Understanding the unique challenges that come with parenting in a digital world, we organised these workshops to address common concerns and provide straightforward advice. Led by Richard from The Stay Safe Initiative, the workshops offered insight into the digital activities’ children engage in and addressed essential topics like online safety, setting boundaries, and nurturing an open line of communication.

  • Successful Governor Conference

    An Evening of Collaboration and Strategic Focus On Tuesday 1 October 2024, The Keys Academy Trust held its second annual Governor Conference, bringing together governors, trustees, and leaders from across our schools. The event was a great success, providing a valuable opportunity for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and strategic planning. The evening began with a warm welcome by David Horrocks, Chair of the Trustee Board, who provided an update on the Board of Trustees’ key priorities from the previous year, which included inspections, growth and a continued focus on supporting disadvantaged children and improving staff wellbeing.     INSET Day Paves the Way for an Inspiring School Year We were delighted to welcome 136 teachers to our INSET session on the implementation of our new assessment software Sonar. This event forms part of our commitment to continuous professional development and technical excellence. It was also a significant milestone for The Keys Academy Trust. For the first time, our INSET was held in the Palmer Building at the University of Reading, because we have outgrown our school facilities.
