Members

The Trust has five Members: 

Oxford Diocesan Board of Education (ODBE) (Represented by Tony Wilson)

The corporate ODBE is a member of all of the academy companies currently established in the Diocese of Oxford (there are over 20).

The ODBE has authorised a number of individuals to act as its nominee and has nominated Gordon Joyner, Deputy Director Education (Resources) to represent the ODBE at meetings for this academy trust.  If Gordon Joyner were unavailable for a specific meeting, the Oxford Diocesan Board of Education would usually send one of the School Advisers from the ODBE.

Reverend Liz Jackson, New Associate Archdeacon of Berkshire

The Revd Liz Jackson joins us from Coventry Diocese where is is currently Area Dean of Coventry North and Vicar of St Francis of Assisi Church, Radford. 

Gordon Joyner, Deputy Director of Education at ODBE

Gordon is Deputy Director of Education at the Oxford Diocesan Board of Education (ODBE) with responsibility for procuring major capital projects and new schools, managing school organisation issues (including academy conversions & developments), financial planning/monitoring, project management, admission & appeals and various school legal matters. He has been involved in the education sector within Oxfordshire for the last 32 years and has governor experience since 2008 including Chair of Governors & Chair of various committees at a number of schools.

Jane Peters, FORMER Chair of Trustees of TKAT

Jane has been a governor for over 10 years. She is an active member of her local Church of England church where she leads services and works and volunteers as part of the Children and Youth Team. 

Jane is an experienced Qualified Teacher of the Deaf who works as the Service Development Co-ordinator for the Berkshire Sensory Consortium Service. In this role she has a strategic lead on service delivery, quality of teaching and learning and training as well as working on Local Authority and national projects.

Jane is also a University lecturer in deaf education and leads an Early Years masters course for Hertfordshire University. She also teaches on the mandatory qualification course for training teachers of the deaf nationally.  

Jane Williams, Former Trustee of TKAT

Jane was a governor at Earley St Peter’s CE Primary School before becoming a trustee when The Keys Academy Trust was formed in 2017. She remained a trustee for 7 years before now becoming a Member. 

Jane was also previously a youth leader at Earley St Peter’s Church. Jane is also a CIMA qualified accountant and she has been working in finance for many years notably in the charity and non-profit sector. Jane is currently Head of Finance and Business Support at Reading University Students Union. 

The Members hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) once a year, but can also meet on other occasions as needed.

Persons with Significant Control (PSC)

We have been required to keep a register of 'people with significant control' within TKAT. It is recognised that the Oxford Diocesan Board of Education (ODBE) have such control.
